Recently, the reporter learned from the Fujian Provincial Expressway Group that the guardrails, dividers and other traffic safety facilities of the Panasonic Cross-sea Bridge Section of the Changping Expressway Phase II Project have been installed, and the road traffic markings have also been drawn. The second phase of Changping Expressway is expected to open to traffic simultaneously with the Pingtan Highway-Railway Bridge in June.
It is reported that, as the controlling project of the second phase of Changping Expressway, one-third of the pile foundations of the Panasonic Cross-sea Bridge are located in the bare rock area and the rock strength is strong. This process solves the problems of unstable rock formation, large undulations of the seabed, and shallow overburden, and introduces the descending mobile formwork with the largest highway span in China, which effectively overcomes the strong winds and harsh sea conditions in coastal areas.
According to reports, the second phase of Changping Expressway and the Pingtan Highway-Railway Bridge will be connected by sea and will open to traffic simultaneously with the highway part of the Pingtan Highway-Railway Bridge. At present, part of the main project of the Pingtan Highway-Railway Bridge has been completed. It is expected that the construction will be completed in June this year and the conditions for opening to traffic will be completed. The specific opening date is subject to approval.
After the opening of the Changping Expressway, a new channel will be added from Changle to Pingtan. Through this expressway, the time from Fuzhou to Pingtan will be shortened by half an hour, forming a one-hour commuting circle. (Provincial Expressway Group)
